You know, what would appropriately commemorate the transition from being a debtor in bondage to a financially free person?
Because my debt load has just dipped below the $10K mark at $9730. I am in the debt-free home stretch!
So I would like to know what you will do, if anything, when you become debt-free. Or, because I know many of you clever peeps are already debt-free, what did you do to celebrate or commemorate this occasion? And if you are debt-free but have never done anything for yourself to celebrate this, you should run out and celebrate asap because YOU ARE AWESOME.
Seriously, people celebrate a weird and biased set of things: birthdays, holidays, rites of passage events. No one ever celebrates an adult accomplishment except for retirement, as far as I can tell. And that is a shame.
So please tell me what you would do, or what you have done, or why you haven’t and how soon do you plan to correct this! And if you have any suggestions for me, I will take it into deep consideration.
